Cancellations and refunds

When you can cancel, what you pay, and how refunds and disputes are handled.

Last updated 2026

1. Before a booking is secured

You can cancel a posted job at any time before you pay, at no cost. Providers can withdraw an offer at any time before it is accepted.

2. After a booking is secured

If you cancel before the provider starts travelling, you receive a full refund.

If you cancel while the provider is travelling or after they have arrived, a reasonable call-out contribution may be retained and paid to the provider for the journey made. The remainder is refunded.

If the provider cancels, you receive a full refund and BIDR does not keep a success fee.

3. Work not completed

The BIDR success fee is only earned when a job is completed successfully. If a job is not completed, the fee is reversed and the reason is recorded.

4. Problems with the work

Report an issue from the job screen. Payment release can be held while we review the evidence, including photos, messages and job timeline.

Where the provider is at fault, we work with them to put it right or arrange a refund. Workmanship and parts warranties are provided by the provider.
