BIDR legal

Terms of use

The rules for using BIDR as a customer or as an independent service provider in the UK.

Last updated 2026

1. What BIDR is

BIDR is a marketplace. Customers post a vehicle problem, independent providers send offers, and the customer chooses one. BIDR does not carry out repairs, fitting or recovery itself and is not a party to the work agreed between a customer and a provider.

Each provider is an independent business, responsible for their own work, staff, tools, insurance, waste handling and compliance with UK law.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or over and provide accurate details. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.

Provider accounts must complete onboarding, including business details, service area, insurance position and waste declarations, before they can be matched to live jobs.

3. Prices, fees and payment

Customers pay exactly the price quoted in the offer they accept. BIDR does not add a customer booking fee.

Providers pay a success fee to BIDR only when a job is won and completed. The fee that applies to a job is the fee in force at the moment the offer is accepted, and is recorded against that job. Later changes to BIDR pricing do not change past jobs.

Payment is taken through BIDR to secure the booking. Payment outside BIDR is not permitted and removes every protection described here.

4. Keeping the job on BIDR

Contact details, exact location and private messaging are unlocked only after a booking is secured. Sharing phone numbers, email addresses, links or requests to pay cash or move off-platform before that point is blocked automatically and may be reviewed.

Repeatedly attempting to take work off BIDR may result in suspension or removal of an account.

5. Conduct and safety

In an emergency, or if you are in an unsafe position on a road, contact the emergency services first.

Abuse, threats, discrimination, fraud or misrepresentation of qualifications or insurance are grounds for immediate removal.

6. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, BIDR is not liable for the quality, timing or outcome of work performed by an independent provider. Claims about the work itself are between the customer and the provider, and BIDR will help with evidence and dispute handling.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are communicated in the app. Continuing to use BIDR after a change means you accept the updated terms.
